IAQ Detectors, the instrumentation brand of Ace Instruments, manufactures a CE certified flameproof (FLP) hydrogen and LEL detector for battery rooms, UPS enclosures, and confined spaces where flammable gas accumulation is a hazard. The instrument uses catalytic bead detection and outputs via Modbus RS-485 for BMS and safety-panel integration.

LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) is the minimum concentration of a flammable gas in air capable of ignition. Hydrogen has an LEL of 4% by volume, making continuous monitoring essential wherever battery banks off-gas hydrogen during charging.
